"Wider World" is a new, 5-level course which provides secondary students not just with the ability to communicate well in English and to pass exams with good grades but also with the skills and confidence to participate as educated citizens in the global community of the 21st century – with all its unique challenges and opportunities. "Wider World" offers numerous opportunities for students to interact with real language. In grammar and speaking lessons students meet their peers from the UK and while following their everyday lives, they learn key structures and phrases necessary in everyday communication. The model dialogues are also available as video episodes of a teenage series called Harlow Mill. Each unit ends with a BBC culture lesson and an engaging project in which English becomes the tool through which students access a wider world of knowledge, skills and experience along with revising the newly acquired language.
